They come in three streams — Bản Giốc bucket-listers timing the falls at full flow, families on the về nguồn ("back to the source") pilgrimage to Pác Bó, and riders treating the karst loop as Hà Giang without the crowds. Best window is late Sep to early Oct: full falls plus ripe rice in the valley — with the caveat that the same weeks carry typhoon-tail closure risk (the falls shut twice in one week in 2025).
